Inheritance and Genetic Mapping of Late-Bolting to Early-Bolting Gene, BrEb-1, in Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa L.)

چکیده
Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L.) is one of the most important and highly nutritious vegetables in China belonging to Brassicaceae family. Flowering or bolting critical developmental stages flowering plants. For spring-sown cabbage, late-bolting desirable over early-bolting according consumer preferences. We determined inheritance pattern trait using F1 F2 generated from a cross between ‘SY2004’ (late-bolting) ‘CX14-1’ (early-bolting). The genetic analysis revealed that was controlled by an incomplete dominant gene we named BrLb-1. Furthermore, performed bulked segregant (BSA) via whole genome re-sequencing results showed this harbored on chromosome A07 at intersections 20,070,000 25,290,000 bp 20,330,000 25,220,000, interval distance 4.89 Mb. In candidate interval, totals 2321 1526 SNPs with non-synonymous mutations, 229 131 InDels frameshift were found parents pools, respectively. identified three putative genes for trait, including BraA07g029500, BraA07g029530 BraA07g030360, which code AGAMOUS-like MADS-box protein AGL12, pentatricopeptide repeat-containing NAC transcription factor 29, respectively; however, further functional required. These variants could be utilized development molecular markers marker-assisted breeding cabbage.

Physiological and Biochemical Properties Analysis of Late-bolting Transgenic Chinese Cabbage (brassica Rapa L. Ssp. Pekinensis)
LFYgene plays important roles in determining plant flowering mainly by controlling the timing of phase transition. Constitutive under-expression of LFY gene in Arabidopsis resulted in the formation of late flowering and highly branching phenotype. In this paper, we investigated some physiological and biochemical properties of the transformantsthat were down-regulated LFY gene expression to dela...

Orange inner leaves/heads is a qualitative trait in Chinese cabbage that is controlled by a single recessive gene. Orange head Chinese cabbage contain more carotenoids than its white head counterpart; hence, this trait is of interest to both researchers and consumers. In this study, we selected the orange head Chinese cabbage line 07A163 and the white head Chinese cabbage line Chiifu as test ma...
متن کاملMapping of quantitative trait loci for the bolting trait in Brassica rapa under vernalizing conditions.
Premature bolting can occur occasionally during spring cultivation of heading Chinese cabbage in East Asia when the plants encounter low temperatures (vernalization), leading to economic loss. Breeding bolting-resistant cultivars is the best choice for solving this problem. We looked for QTLs responsible for varietal differences in the bolting trait in Brassica rapa under environmental conditio...

Bolting and flowering are key processes during the growth and development of Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L. ssp pekinensis). Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying bolting and flowering is of significance for improving production of the vegetable. A leaf-color change from bright green to gray-green has been observed following differentiation of the flowering stem and before boltin...

The glyoxalase pathway is composed of glyoxalase I (GLYI) and glyoxalase II (GLYII) and is responsible for the detoxification of a cytotoxic metabolite methylglyoxal (MG) into the nontoxic S-D-lactoylglutathione. The two glyoxalase enzymes play a crucial role in stress tolerance in various plant species. Recently, the GLY gene families have well been analyzed in Arabidopsis, rice and soybean, h...
